Pitcher Plant (Nepenthes alata)
This is a carnivorous tropical plant with vines that swell forming "monkey cups" or "pitchers." The name "monkey cups" comes from monkeys drinking water from the pitchers. The pitchers are also used to collect insects for nutrition. These plants prefer bright, indirect light to dappled light. These plants love wet feet. Keep them moist at all times - do not let them dry out. They thrive in swamp-like conditions.
