Red Jewel Orchid "Ludisia Discolor"
The Jewel Orchid or Ludisia discolor is prized for its foliage rather than its flowers. It has velvety dark leaves, almost burgundy to black, with think white stripes. They have tall flower spikes with several little white flowers. They bloom in late winter to early spring. Jewel orchids like bright, but indirect light. They like high humidity and prefer to be somewhat moist, but not soggy. Water when the top 2" have dried out, but the plant is not completely dry. Available in 4" pot
