Hoya Carnosa “chelsea” is a rare hoya variety. It has thick, succulent-like waxy leaves that are slightly puckered and heart shaped. New growth sprouts from the stem in pairs and can be a deep purple to red color before it turns into a deep emerald green. They are commonly grown in hanging baskets and make a pretty trailing vine that can grow up to 12 feet long! Mature plants will bloom in summer, producing round mounds of sweet-smelling, star-shaped flowers that are white with a pink center.
>>Fun Fact: Hoya blooms are very fragrant and the chelsea hoya flower has a unique scent that is described to smell faintly of chocolate.
