Cream Splash Philodendron
Philodendron 'Cream Splash' is a cultivar of Philodendron hederaceum distinguished by its striking multicolored variegation. The heart-shaped leaves display a combination of deep green margins with central splashes of pale cream, lime, and silver-green, often with unpredictable and unique patterning. This cultivar shares the trailing growth habit of its parent species and performs well in a variety of indoor conditions. Due to its variegation, 'Cream Splash' requires more consistent lighting than solid green Philodendrons to maintain its coloration.
Light: Thrives in bright, indirect light. Insufficient light may reduce variegation, while too much direct sun can scorch the leaves.
Water: Water when the top 1–2 inches of soil are dry. Prefers evenly moist soil but is susceptible to overwatering and root rot if left in saturated conditions.
Bloom: Rarely blooms indoors. When it does, it may produce small, inconspicuous aroid-type inflorescences that are primarily ornamental curiosities.
Propagation: Readily propagated via stem cuttings. Ensure each cutting includes at least one node. Root in water or directly into moist, well-draining soil.
