Hoya obovata 'Splash' is a slow-growing, semi-succulent vining plant prized for its thick, rounded, dark green leaves adorned with irregular silver speckling. The “splash” variegation varies in intensity across each leaf, giving the plant a distinctive, mottled appearance. Native to Southeast Asia, this Hoya is epiphytic in its natural habitat, where it climbs and trails along tree trunks in bright, filtered light. This species is well-suited for hanging baskets, trellises, or mounted displays, and it thrives in well-draining soil conditions that replicate its natural growing environment.

Light: Prefers bright, indirect light. Too little light may cause variegation to fade, while prolonged direct sun may cause leaf scorch.
Water: Allow the soil to dry out partially between waterings. Overwatering can lead to root rot due to the plant’s semi-succulent nature. Reduce frequency in cooler months.
Bloom: Produces star-shaped, fragrant, pink or white waxy flowers in umbels when mature. Blooms occur from persistent peduncles—do not remove them after flowering.
Propagation: Easily propagated via stem cuttings with at least one node. Rooting can be done in water, sphagnum moss, or well-draining soil under warm, humid conditions.
