Calathea Medallion (Calathea veitchiana "Medallion")

The broad, rounded leaves (medallion-shaped) are colored with bright green feathering out from a middle pink vein surrounded by a dark green. Before the deep green edge of the leaf, a thin, white, feathery band encircles the leaf, creating an interesting pattern. Another member of the Prayer Plant family, the reddish-purple coloring on the leaf's underside is displayed every morning and evening as the plants "pray" by moving with the sun. This plant prefers a humid environment, such as a kitchen or bathroom, medium light, and to be watered when the top soil is dry 1" down. Available in 6" or 4" pots.
