Marble Queen Pothos (Epipremnum aureum "Marble Queen")
Pothos ‘Marble Queen’ is a striking variegated pothos featuring glossy, heart-shaped leaves splashed with creamy white and deep green marbling. Its vigorous vining growth and cascading stems make it perfect for hanging baskets, shelves, or training along trellises, adding a bold, sculptural touch to any indoor space.
Light : Thrives in bright, indirect light. Variegation is strongest with good light, but it can tolerate moderate light. Avoid direct sun, which can scorch the leaves.
Water : Allow the top inch of soil to dry between waterings. Overwatering can lead to root rot, so it’s better to err on the side of slightly dry.
Soil : Use a well-draining houseplant or aroid mix with good aeration. A pot with drainage holes is essential.
Bloom : Rare indoors, but mature plants may produce small, inconspicuous greenish-yellow spathes typical of Pothos.
Propagation : Propagate easily from stem cuttings. Cut just below a node and place in water or moist soil until roots develop.
Fun Fact : Pothos ‘Marble Queen’ can actually lose variegation if grown in low light, producing mostly green leaves. This natural response allows the plant to maximize photosynthesis when light is limited.
