Philodendron ‘Lickety Split’ is a fast-growing tropical houseplant known for its bold, deeply lobed leaves and lush, upright growth habit. The glossy green foliage develops dramatic splits and finger-like lobes as it matures, giving the plant a full, jungle-inspired appearance. Its dense, bushy form makes it a great statement plant for bright rooms, offices, or any space that could use a touch of tropical greenery.

Light : Prefers bright, indirect light but can tolerate moderate light conditions. Avoid harsh direct sun, which can burn the foliage.
Water : Water when the top inch or two of soil begins to dry. Keep the soil evenly moist but not soggy, and always allow excess water to drain away.
Soil : Thrives in a rich, well-draining potting mix. A chunky blend with potting soil, orchid bark, and perlite helps provide the airflow that aroid roots prefer.
Bloom : Rarely blooms indoors. When it does flower in its natural environment, it produces a typical aroid spathe and spadix structure.
Propagation : Can be propagated through division or stem cuttings that include a node. Root cuttings in water, moss, or directly in moist soil.
Fun Fact : Despite its Philodendron name, ‘Lickety Split’ is actually a cultivar of Thaumatophyllum bipinnatifidum (formerly Philodendron selloum), a plant known for its large, dramatic foliage and rapid growth—hence the playful name suggesting it grows “lickety split.”
